We celebrated the Chinese New Year at a nearby restaurant, the May Dragon, on Saturday night with Scarlett and Lily's aunt, uncle, and cousin Miss C!
All 3 of the girls had precious little Chinese outfits that their "PaPa" bought them on a trip to China a year ago.Scarlett was so excited about her outfit! She was excited about seeing the lion dancers too- she told her Aunt the other night that we were all going to CHINA tomorrow-- we had to clarify that with her later- ha ha!
Lily, not so much...
But she was better after an apple juice bottle! :)
Cousins scaling the admiring the tapestries at the May Dragon.
Lily and Miss C picking on admiring each other's outfits!
With the boom-boom of drums in comes the Dragon (Lion Dancers)!!
They were sooo amazing! Miss C and Scarlett where freaking out a little bit worried and didn't really want to get too close. You could put red envelopes with money in the dragons mouth- however much money you put in would give you ten-fold the GOOD LUCK! We need that!! :)
Lily, on the other hand, was totally enraptured...
If I had let her... she would have followed them around the entire restaurant! OFF SHE GOES!!!
Happy Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger!

What cute kids.
We are studying China too! I LOVE the outfits! So cute! I am so jealous that you found that great restaurant with the Dragon dance. We will have to look for one next year. The boys would love that!
Hey, I changed my settings I think so that you can e-mail me now. Thanks for telling me how to change it. :)
Dragon Dancers- how fun!
Oh how cute!! Love the outfits and Scarlett's hairdo! :)
The outfits are just gorgeous. What a memorable way to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Congratulation on having over 100 followers. That is exciting!
We missed the Chinese New Year celebration in our area. The kids were sick. The Lion dancers both amazed and terrified them last year.
Love the little herng saung dress on your girl! Looks like you had a really fun time -- unfortunately there was no dragon at the restaurant in our area, not a lot of Chinese people around here.
