A person's a PERSON no matter how small... -Dr. Seuss

I am a little pencil in the hand of God who is sending a love letter to the world. - Mother Teresa

The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to THINK, than WHAT to think- rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with the thoughts of other men. - James Beattie

stArt: The Creation Story

We did stART  during our Thursday Preschool Playdate this week- the kids listened to the Bible story of Creation and Adam and Eve.
Then we talked about how God made everyone!  They each received a sheet called- God Made Me! I left a large space up at the top for them to draw a picture of themselves.  If we didn't have time I was going to let them paste a picture I took of them and paste it at the top (but it turned out we had time to draw).

Then we PAINTED!  Each child painted a picture of one of the days that God created.  One painted the moon, sun, and stars; another painted the Oceans and Seas with dolphins, whales, and fish; another painted the land with grass, plants, and flowers.

They ALWAYS love painting!!  :)

Good idea to make a cooperative book, especially that involves painting! Fun!

The Creation Bible story lends itself well to painting activities. So many options to paint.

This would work nicely for a Sunday School craft too - though I think the paints might have to be exchanged for crayons - paints and Sunday dress are not always the best of combos, even if the kids always prefer the paints :)

I love that you were able to incorporate stART into your preschool play date. Your painting project looked like a lot of fun.

Thank you for linking up!!
